Immersion Research EU

It have been 4 months paddling Immersion Research gear now, and I'm so happy with the products they make, always dry and warm!

It was really hard to find this products in Europe before, but not anymore thanks to the online service they invented. Check their EU page, where you can buy all of their gear, sometimes with less price than in the states! Immersion research EU .

Check their jackets & dry suits! they are sweet!

Cansado de que te salte el faldón?
Prueba los cubres de IR, 100% confianza!

Tired of swim because your spray skirt impolite all the time?
Time for you to get an IR one! 100 % trust!

More of Mexico, Bukaki!

Bukaki slide resides in the Jalacingo river. Found by Rafa, Nick, Ben and all this guys a few years ago.
When you look at it for the first time It seems to be a crazy and difficult rapid, but it goes  well and with no problems in the end! Love it!

To reach the put-in you have to walk around 20 min. the views are amazing and it's not a really strong walk!

Taking a break, really close to the Put-In.

In my first day there with the Frenchies we didn't find much water, but anyway it was super good!

Fafa sliding In!

After run the slide you got 2 options:
1. Keep it going and take-out by the river (there's one portage) and some ugly rapids, anyway it's good to go.
2. Take-out right there, (right side) and walk back to the car.

Después de correr el slide tienes 2 opciones:

The Roadside Section

Not too far away of Tlapacoyan hides the Roadside section, one of the classics and most accessible runs here in Mexico. It's about 30 drops/slides between 3 and 7 meters. in about 4km. what a paradise!
In the 16 of january Jim coffey together with aventurec is organizing a race there, seems it's going to be funny!

Tomata waterfall is a perfect 23 m. drop, with beautiful scenary, full of vegetation. You can contemplate the formation of rainbows.... all this things make of this place a true wonder.
This and more old updates are coming now, I haven't had much time in Mexico to write so here it goes now!

Mexican local in the bus
to Atzalan.

Life smiles to us, yesterday I paddled Big Banana section with my friend Gael, aventurec gave us a ride to the put-in, then paddled all the river and take-out at tomata bridge. Then we had to figure out how to come back home, something like 25 km. by foot was not an option. We failed on the first bus stop, but get in to the second, paid 10 pesos and went straight to aventurec with the kayaks and the paddles, no problem!
So the next morning we didn't even asked for a ride in aventurec, we just went to the road and took the first bus we saw. Love this country!

Tomata paradise!
putting the nose down.
I had a pretty good line kept the boat straight and with the right angle during all the fall, then throwed the paddle away and grabbed my spry-deck. Due to low water, the impact was harder than usual anyway I was happy for my line and for no injuries.

Gael went after me, but he followed the left line. He ended up boofing It, but with 0 injuries. We gave a look at Tomata 2 and were pretty fired up on running it but we finally remembered we still have to take a bus home.

The Big Banana Section

Days are going too fast, seems It was yesterday when I arrived Mexico. Near the village of Tlapacoyan, Atzalan direction, lost in the deep jungle hides the incredible section of the Big Banana. This is one of the best and longest sections in Mexico. With strong rapids and beautiful drops it's one of the best places to be! My favourite run for sure!
Put-In en Big Banana section,

My favourite drop in Mexico, the Silence!
One big left boof !

This beautiful drop has a tricky entrance and a bad undercut on the left side of the landing so many people just walk it, since my first run in Big banana section I loved this drop, have been 5 runs of the banana section with 5 silencio runs, 3 with seal lunch and 2 with the entrance, since we started running the entrance with my friend Eric it has been a silencio huckfest with everybody giving it a go and stomping it! Great!

De vuelta al ruedo! Truchas

Another sunny day, sun is shinning and the birds are singing in the garden of Aventurec. The last days have been incredibles, after a month of my injury in the waterfall of the Toro, I finally have been able to get in to the water again and paddle some good sections.
I left Cd. Valles 2 weeks ago, on my way to Tlapacoyan together with the germans we spent a few days on Costa Esmeralda, good times in the beach with lots of beers and good friends.

Then In Tlapacoyan I met with the rats of Kayak school mexico, the only school of kayaking here in Mexico. They give initiation, perfection, safety courses.... if you want to learn kayak in mexico, KSM is the good choice! After a few days in the Beristain camp I was feeling better so In the last day of paddling for the boys we went run Truchas, a perfect 50 ft. tall drop in the rio Alsesseca. After a month without do anything I didn't have my best line and I ended up boofing it, I didn't hurt so It was good to see that my body was OK and that I could kayak again.
Boofeando el slide de entrada.

the cleanest waterfall in the earth!

landing truchas flat.

Since this last day In Truchas we have been paddling a lot of great sections as Big banana, roadside, tomata... the levels are perfect and the frenchies and quebequienses just arrived so we gonna have some epic time here during the next weeks!
