Aniol Serrasolses: Panadeiro Slide, rio Umia

After spend the night in Emilio’s house, we moved with Pringle and Katya in the search of a famous rapid that I heard about a few years ago.

Después de remar con Emilio el alto Tea, nos dirigimos con Pringle y Katya en la busca de un famoso rapido del que hace años oigo hablar.

Situada en Caldes de Reis, se encuentra este espectacular rapido de clase V. La entrada tiene un salto de unos 3 metros, que sigue con una rampa de más de 20 metros con mucha pendiente, según mi información aún no habia sido corrida antes, perdón si no es así.

Hay 2 puntos feos, una raja en la roca por donde se cuela el agua en la entraday una gran piedra en el medio de la rampa, por suerte, le pasa el agua suficiente por encima para no empuntarse.

Located on Caldes de Reis, we found this sick rapid! The entrance has a 3 meters drop, that follows with the slide of more than 20 meters, lot of pendent from the top! There’s 2 bad spots, a crack in the right of the first drop and a big rock in the middle of the slide, but It all goes! After a bito f scouting we feel Ready to go for it, we get changed and head straight to the put-in. Pringle would like to see someone running it, so I go first…

Después de un buen rato perdidos buscando el sitio, damos con ella. A pesar de estos dos puntos feos, la rampa se ve perfecta para poder correrla y enseguida nos cambiamos para darle! Pringle quiere ver antes alguien bajarla así, que voy yo a mandarme primero, y así ver como esta…Doy la señal de Ok, Pringle y Katya están abajo, listos para grabar y fotografiar toda la acción! Entro a la corriente, respiro un momento y directo hacia el salto de entrada, un buen boof de izquierdas y empieza la diversión!

Sin darme cuenta ya estoy bajando a toda velocidad por la rampa, consigo mantenerme en la línea deseada, el máximo hacia la derecha, evitando así la piedra del medio, la sensacion es increíble, mucha velocidad!! Tengo una línea estupenda, así que todo perfecto!

I give the signal to go, Pringle & Katya are down, ready to record and take photos of the action! Got in to the corrent, breath strongly, and straight to the entrance drop, a big left boof and the fun is started! Afew seconds later I’m going super fast down the slide, I keep on my line, staying right and far from the middle rock. The sensations are incredible, lot of speed and pure fun!


Feliz al llegar abajo, con mucha velocidad y la adrenalina a tope! Como echaba de menos esto!!

Pringle va justo después con otra muy buena línea, el agua lo desplaza hacía la piedra del medio, pasa por encima a toda velocidad pegándose un vuelo muy bueno!
