Upper Trancura

El rio Trancura es uno de los clásicos aquí en Chile. Es un rio de volumen, rapido-poza. La mayoría de compañías trabajan en él, es un rio de clase III + con un difícil y potente paso de V, el Salto del Mariman. El rapido de la última sonrisa también está entretenido.

The river Trancura it's one of the classics here In Chile. It's a big water river, with pool-drop character, most of the rafting companies work there. It's a class III river with a difficult class V rapid called salto del mariman, the rapid of last laught is also good!

Fuímos a remarlo con Zorro, Gringo, David, Matias y un par de amigos más. El nível de agua no era demasiado alto, los rapidos eran divertidos y pasamos un buen rato remandolo con buenos amigos!

We went paddling with some good friends from everywhere. The water level wasn't high, anyway the rapids where fun and we had a lot of fun.

Corrí el Mariman por el lado derecho, con una buena línea. Por el lado derecha hay la gran línea tocha, es un rapido de clase V con un drop de unos 3 m. con un agujero enorme debajo... Gerd lo corrió está locura de rapido cuando estubo aquí hace un par de años... SCARY! habrá que ír a mirarlo en cuanto baje un poco el caudal!

I ran the Mariman, with a good line. In the right side there's a huge class V rapid. With a big big hole after a 3m. drop. Gerd ran that beast some years ago, we'll have to check it out In a few weeks when the water levels get lower.
