Rio Arreu

El dia 23 de junio tuvimos la suerte de no trabajar y pudímos ír a remar el rio Arreu. Un pequeño afluente del Noguera Pallaresa, es casi un barraco, con rapidos estrechos y pasos técnicos. Tiene tres saltos muy buenos, pero sobretodo el Auto-Boof, un boof enorme de derechas!!

In the 23 of june we where lucky because we didn't work. So me and Batlle'pro went to paddle the Arreu river. It's a little afluent of the Upper Noguera Pallaresa, it's almost like canyoning with a kayak but there are some tiny and technic rapids! There are 3 great drops, the auto-boof it's a sick right boof!

Perros Vagos Drop

Perros Vagos ya tiene su própio drop!!! Situado en el rio Barrosa, con unos 15 metros y una entrada bastante fea. La corrímos hace un par de dias con Gerd y Batlle con diferentes líneas.
La cascada tenía 3 complicaciones:
1. El poco fondo en la recepción.
2. Una espécie de lanzadera que te podía hacer boofear fácilmente y obligarte a caer plano desde 15 metros! (mal).
3. No habia boil debajo la cascada!



Perros vagos have their own drop! Situated In the Barrosa river, with 15 meters of freefall and a sketchy entrance. We ran It a few days ago with Gerd and Batlle with different lines.
The 3 bad things of the waterfall:
1. Really, really shallow pool!
2. Kind of aun auto-boof in the lip that could make you boof and fall flat from this tall waterfall
3. No boil

Yo corrí primero al ganarle los xinos a Gerd otra vez más! jaja. Mi líne estuvo bién y la recepción fue más suave de lo esperado, buena que tampoco volqué! Tampoco toqué fondo así que los otros dos no se lo pensaron demasiado y corríeron justo después de mí.
Gerd se dió un pequeño golpe en la nariz aún hacer una muy buena línea y Batlle'pro estuvó a punto de hacer la cascada perfecta pero se paso un poco de boof y acabamos todos en el hospital de Ainsa a que le miraran la espalda.

I ran it first after win Gerd for the third time or so In this trip! jaja. My line was good and the reception was softer than what I thought. I didn't flip and didn't toucht the floor so it was all good! The next was Gerd who got a little hit in his noise but a good line, Batlle'pro almost did a sick line but boofed too much and ended up with a "broken back" and all of us in the hospital looking for drugs.

Boavi y Alto Noguera

Esta última semana ha sido una de las más productivas y excitantes del año. Ha estado llovíendo casi todo el tiempo así que hemos podido disfrutar de unos níveles de agua espectaculares en rios como el Boavi, Palomeras, Romadriu, Bujaruelo, Cinqueta, Barrosa… Hemos remado casi cada dia con diferentes sucesos.

Vamo a remar mierda!

The last week have been one of the most productive and exciting of the year. It have been rainning pretty much all the time so we enjoyed paddling some bad-ass high flows rivers like Boavi, Palomeras, Alto Noguera, Árreu, Romadriu, Bujaruelo and Cinqueta. We paddled almost everyday with different success.

Dia 1

Después de una noche llovíendo a tope, el primer dia de la semana nos despertamos con una ventana enorme de posibilidades para ír a remar, el Noguera Pallaresa estába muy alto, el Parking de Muleta estaba 1 metro por debajo del agua y cada uno de los rios del Pallars estaba corríendo grande! Esto hizó la elección un tanto complicada, al final nos decídimos para ír a remar el Boavi. Abastecido por el lago más grande de los pirineos (Estany de Certascan) es probablemente el mejor rio de los pirineos, hay varias razones, el gran numero de rapidos clase V, la variedad… desde largos y cañeros slides a bonitos y limpios saltos, rapidos muy técnicosy un entorno espectacular…. Es muy difícil pillarlo con agua por culpa de la maldita represa (hay que rebentarla…) pero si teneis el placer de remar esta joya con buen nível agua nunca lo olvidareis! Rio Boavi compadre!!

Rock Splash

After a great night of heavy rains we woke up the first day of the week with a full window of opportunities outside to go paddle, the Noguera Pallaresa was high as shit, Muleta parking was 1 meter down the water and every river in the Pallars was flowing high!! We decided to go paddle the river Boavi, It comes from the biggest lake In the spanish Pyrenées (Certascan Lake) and it’s one of the best rivers In Spain, there are many reasons, the big number of continued class V rapids, the variety… from long and stout slides, beautiful and clean drops, and some really technic rapids… It’s really, really difficult to see the river flowing because of the damn, but If you have the pleasure to paddle this gem at high flows you will never forget It! Boavi river compadre!!

DAY 2
El dia siguiente estábamos remando el Alto Noguera con un buen caudal.

Next day we paddled the Upper Noguera with the Babba's team, this river it's like my first creek, and have been a great school for me and gerd, every time I get there I feel great!

Paddling In the Pyrenées Part 1

During this last week we enjoyed a perfect conditions In the Pallars to paddle until get destroyed! There's no snow In the mountains but It's raining heavy everyday, so the rivers are big right now!

Durante esta última semana hemos podido disfrutar de unas condiciones óptimas en el Pallars para remar hasta rebentar! Las últimas clapas de nieve se han fundido y las llúvias torrenciales de estos dias han puesto los rios a níveles de agua muy altos!

We left Sort with Antton and Xus of the company Aiguadicció to the frenchside of the pyrenées looking forward to paddle the Riberot and the Alet river. We where surprised to see low water, anyways we enjoyed 2 great rivers of class IV, interesting rapids, beautiful gorges and a million boofs, I specially loved one drop In the Riberot, sick BOOF!

Marchamos con Antton y Xus de Aiguadicció al lado francés de Certascan para remar el Riberot y Alet. Por sorpresa nuestra el nível de agua era bastante más bajo del esperado, aún así dísfrutamos con unos rios muy entretenidos, con pasos técnicos y seguidos y en especial un salto en el Riberot que me encantó!

Después de estos buenos dias de kayak en tierra francesa decidímos ír a chequear el Palomeras, ya que nos habían dicho que traía mucha agua! Sin pensarlo dos veces cargamos todas las cosas en mi coche... tengo cocheee!!!! y nos dirigímos al Valle de Tavascan esperando encontrar un Palomeras potenciado!!!
Al final no fué para tanto y pudímos córrer todos los rapidos.

After this great days paddling In the french pyrenées we decided to go check the Palomeras Creek. We loaded the kayaks in my new and first car!! yes I got a caaaar!!! and drove to Tavascan Valley looking for a big water day! Finally It wasn't really big but enough to run the whole river with sick lines, browns and GRANDE boofs!

Normalmente se sale justo después de esta rampa, ese dia seguímos hasta el puente corríendo así el último salto , un boof de derecha enorme!...

Normally you take-out just after this slide, we kept it going until the bridge, running the last drop, a sick and enormeous right boof!...
